Two people were arrested after they sat in a parked car for a long time at the Circle K in Sweetwater late Thursday night.
Sweetwater Police Officer Rob Burris said he and other officers were sent to the business around 11:30 p.m. and were told by a clerk that a white Pontiac Bonneville had been sitting in the parking lot for about an hour with two men in it.
Burris said he approached the car and found James Hill and Chase Spurgeon inside. Burris said he asked the two men to get out of the car and asked Hill if he could pat him down. Hill said he could and Burris said he felt something in a pocket, according to arrest warrants.
Burris said he reached inside the pocket and found two suspected marijuana roaches in a small pill bottle, a blue straw with a white powder in it, another bottle with three Clonazepam in it, a small baggy of suspected meth and four Hydrochloride pills.
A search of the car then allegedly turned up more Hydrochloride pills under the passenger seat, but neither man claimed ownership of the pills.
Hill, 57, Highway 68, Sweetwater, was charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of Clonazepam, possession of Hydrochloride and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Spurgeon, 22, North Clark Street, Sweetwater, was charged with possession of Hydrochloride since the pills were under his seat.
