It was a short and to-the-point meeting Monday for the Madisonville Mayor and Alderman.
In new business, the board decided to bring the bathrooms at Kefauver Park into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and to also put in a ramp leading to the ball fields at the park.
The board also voted to make the City Hall meeting room compliant with ADA standards by making the sound system work for those with hearing problems.
In a bit of good news, Mayor Glenn Moser said every department operated by the city is under budget and in the black through the end of February.
The board also voted to give the city garage its own internet connection as the building currently uses the one at City Hall and it does not work that well.
And, the board voted against an ordinance that would have regulated junked vehicles sitting in yards. A measure that was aimed at unlicensed junkyards, the ordinance was defeated 5-1 with only Susan Saunders voting for it.
