A Sweetwater man was arrested early Sept. 11 after he allegedly walked uninvited into a house because he could not hear the TV anymore.
Sweetwater Police Officer Jarren Turpeinen said it was around 1:30 a.m. when he went to a house on Fair Street and talked to a person who said a man had walked into their house without being invited.
The man told Turpeinen that he and his wife were watching TV when they heard the screen door open and looked up to see a man, identified as James Kinsey, standing in the house.
The couple said the man did leave and told the officer that he was now walking around Engleman Park in circles.
Turpeinen said he found Kinsey in the park and asked him why he had gone into the house and Kinsey responded that he went in because he could not hear Dr. Phil anymore.
The officer then asked Kinsey if he was under the influence of anything, and Kinsey allegedly admitted he was high, saying he had smoked marijuana right before it got dark and had eaten some meth with his coffee that morning.
Turpeinen searched Kinsey and found a plastic baggie that contained a green, leafy substance Kinsey allegedly said was marijuana.
Kinsey, 43, Young Drive, Sweetwater, was charged with aggravated burglary, simple possession of marijuana and public intoxication.
