She tried to place the blame on the guy with her, according to Sweetwater Police, but a Sweetwater woman ended up being the one arrested on drug charges early Wednesday.

Sweetwater Police Officer Jarren Turpeinen said he was sent to a verbal domestic call just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday on Culham Street, where he found Donald Horton standing outside of a truck and Lisa Dotson sitting in the driver’s seat.

Turpeinen said while he was talking to the duo, he noticed what looked like marijuana in a small baggie on the floorboard. When asked about the bag, Dotson said Horton had thrown it into the truck but Horton denied doing it.

Turpeinen had Dotson get out of the truck so he could search it. Inside the truck, Turpeinen said he found Dotson’s pocket book, which had a cellophane wrapper with suspected meth in it.

When asked about the cellophane wrapper, Dotson said Horton had put it in her purse.

Turpeinen said he then found a clear straw with a white residue in it in the driver’s seat.

Turpeinen then arrested Dotson, 51, West North Street, and charged her with possession of meth, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
