Sweetwater High School students and faculty are dealing with some sad news early in the school year after learning an SHS special education teacher has died after a stroke.

On Monday, SHS Principal Eric Weaver said Anne Wheeler had passed away and he comforted staff and students. Weaver said Wheeler was an excellent teacher and that the SHS community would miss her very much.

Weaver assured faculty and students that the SHS administration was available to help them in any way. Weaver said SHS had set up its counseling staff in the library to assist any students who might want or need to talk with someone about how they are feeling.
