A Sweetwater man was arrested in Madisonville last Wednesday after he was allegedly caught selling drugs.
On July 17, Madisonville Police Narcotics Agent David Wear said he was told a man in a maroon Ford sedan was in the area of Ogle’s Car Wash on Highway 411 trying to sell the alleged drugs.
Wear drove to the area, found the car and identified the man in it as Adam Hall. Wear said he could see a clear plastic container in the car holding multiple pills. The officer got the container out of the car and found 20 Alprazolam pills in it.
With reasonable cause then, Wear said he searched the rest of the car and found a black case that contained digital scales, a glass smoking pipe, razor blades and both suspected marijuana and suspected meth.
Wear said Hall denied that the items belonged to him and said he did not have a prescription for the pills. Wear said he then asked a passenger in the car if he could see his phone and the passenger handed it over. On the phone were several messages for Hall, also known as “Pops,” about selling “poles,” the street name for Alprazolam.
Hall, 40, Powell Avenue, Sweetwater, was charged with possession of meth for resale, possession of Alprazolam for resale, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
