K-9 unit brings attention to unwanted animals

When the sheriff goes bad, you have to call out the K-9 Unit. Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones II played the bad guy during a K-9 Unit demonstration at the Monroe County Animal Shelter on Saturday. K-9 Officer Clint Brookshire used his dog Eros to take down the “rogue” sheriff and place him under arrest. The demonstration was part of an adoption event to bring attention to the plight of unwanted animals in the county. Jones answered questions after the event, saying suspects are usually more scared of a dog than they are of a gun or a Taser.
