Brenda Grace Leslie

Brenda Grace Leslie of Madisonville, passed away peacefully at 8:35 p.m., Friday, June 27, at Sweetwater Hospital, after a brief illness. Confined to a wheelchair in all of this life, “little Bren’s” faith was her strength and joy. Her purity of heart was communicated by beautiful brown eyes and ever-present smile. She was always cared for at the family home by her loving and dedicated mother. She had a unique love for all kids.

“A special thank you to my dear mother, sister, brothers and all in-laws.”

She was 54.

Preceded in death by: father, Pryor B. Leslie; brothers, Donnie Reed Leslie and David Franklin Leslie.

Survivors include: mother-Mae Mangis Leslie of Madisonville;

Sister and brother-in-law-Judy and Ed Layman of Sevierville;

Brothers and sisters-in-law-Ross and Sam Leslie and Kenneth and Sandy Leslie, all of Maryville; Gene and Faye Leslie, Jim and Zelma Leslie, Bob and Gloria Leslie, Roy (Slick) and Donna Leslie and Brenda T. Leslie, all of Madisonville;

A host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services were 1 p.m., Monday, in New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Koopman and Rev. Danny Strickland officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
