John Michael Kyker

John Michael "Mike" Kyker of Sweetwater, died suddenly, Thursday, Oct. 29, at his home. Mike was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of Army Special Forces, after 17 years of service.

He was 54.

Preceded in death by: mother, Sue Alvens Kyker; nephew, Jake Kyker.

Survivors include: children-Stormer Kyker of Cleveland; Kristen Patterson Custer of South Dakota; and John Michael Kyker Jr. of Riverview, Fla.;

Father and stepmother-Olen and Barbara Kyker of Sweetwater;

Brothers and sisters-in-law-Darris and Toni Kyker of Sweetwater; Darrel and Suzanne Kyker of Cleveland;

Sisters and brothers-in-law-Michelle and Mark Schrum of Chattanooga; Lori and Danny Flaherty of Hixson;

Grandchildren-John Michael Kyker III, Ben Kyker, Averee Kyker, Addyson Kyker of Riverview; and Christopher Elliot Patterson of South Dakota;

Stepbrother and wife-Leon and Donna Poe of Sweetwater;

Funeral services will be 5 p.m., Sunday, in Loudon Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Calloway Nichols officiating. Interment will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, in Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, with military honors by Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., before the funeral. Loudon Funeral Home, in charge of arrangements.
