Justus Paul Stiles, of Coker Creek, heard his name called on Sunday, April 7, 2019. He stood up to his full height, chest out, and expanded his beautiful new wings, then soared to his new home, Heaven, where his eternal Father embraced him and said, “Welcome home, my child.”
Justus was a member of Long Ridge Baptist Church, was a 2017 graduate of Tellico Plains High School, and was employed at JTEKT in Vonore. He loved fishing and camping with friends.
Justus officially swore an oath to serve his country in the United States Army, entering on May 28, 2019.
What he enjoyed most was hanging out, spending time with his brothers and sisters, to which they shared an incredible bond.
He was 19 years old.
Preceded in death by: his father, Timothy Stiles; sister, Alissa Stiles; grandfather, Nug Stiles; uncle, Michael Stiles; stepfather, Mark Lester.
Survivors include: his mother, Jessica Brannon Lester;
Brothers, Anthony Hamilton, Matthew, Isaiah, Landon, and Brayden Stiles;
Sisters, Morgan Stiles and fiancé, Kaleb Watson, Kayleigh, Hannah and Kilah Stiles;
Grandparents, Barbara and Guy Brannon “nana and pap,” Delores Stiles “mamaw Jean”;
Special brother, Jacob Freeman, and in death, Josh Martin.
The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at 7 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Carroll Hamilton and the Rev. Cody Debty officiating.
Family and friends assembled at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Myers Funeral Home, and proceeded to Ironsburg Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. Pallbearers were Anthony Hamilton, Matthew Stiles, Weston Hamilton, Paul Medina, Gabe Kirkland and Jacob Freeman.
Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains was in charge of arrangements.
