Peggy Lou Cook, of Madisonville, passed away at 2:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a member of Madisonville Church of God. Her hobbies included quilting and flower gardening.
She was 84 years old.
Preceded in death by: her parents, Burl and Myrtle Tallent; sisters, Linda Cross, Billie Jean Anderson; brothers, Thomas, Creed and Jr. Tallent.
Survivors include: her husband of 48 years, William C. Cook;
Daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Curtis Webb of Madisonville;
Granddaughter and her husband, Heather and Taylor Shultz;
Great-granddaughter, Aspen Shultz of Ft. Hood, Texas;
Sisters and brothers-in-law, Susie Tallent, Lillie and Howard Choat, Levi and Mary Bowers, all of Madisonville, Ella Mae O’Dell, of Tellico Plains;
Brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Sandra Tallent, Claude and Euretha (Sis) Tallent of Madisonville;
Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Pastor Josh Benson officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, in McClellan Cemetery.
