Glenn Thomas White, age 83, of Madisonville, passed away on Tuesday evening, Dec. 31, 2019, at Madisonville Health and Rehab. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Tellico Plains.
He was a carpenter and cabinetmaker for many years and retired as an advanced emergency medical technician for the Monroe County Ambulance Service after 17 years.
He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Vickie Sue Rogers; parents, Norman and Cleona White; and brothers, Norman Earleen White and Kenneth Ray White.
Survivors include: his son and daughter-in-law, Norman Thomas and Kim White;
Son-in-law, Bill Rogers, all of Madisonville;
Grandchildren, Brady White, of Nashville, and Taylor Rogers, of Knoxville;
Step-grandchildren, Megan Rogers, of Texas, Chelsi Fugate and husband Eric, of Greenback, Wil Frye and wife Aaren, of Tellico Plains, and Wes Frye; Several step-great-grandchildren;
Sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Steve Carringer; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Hoyt and Betty White, all of Madisonville; and Raymond and Joyce White, of Sweetwater;
Several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. A memorial service followed at 7 p.m. in the Biereley-Hale Chapel with Rev. Carl Croft officiating. The interment will be private.
