Carol Randall (Randy) Glover, age 74, of Tellico Plains, passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Center Presbyterian Church. He loved U.T. football, fishing, reading, watching westerns and reading the Bible. He coached little league baseball and was a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by: his grandson, Daniel Cook; father, J.C. Glover Sr.; sister, Judy Glover Sayne.
Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Sylvia Glover;
Daughters, Lydia Salvador, and Mitzi Morgan;
Sons and daughter-in-law, Scott Thomas, and Mike and Kelly Cook;
Grandchildren, Maria Tipton, Daniel Thomas, Hannah Merritt, and Josh Morgan;
Mother, Celia Glover;
Brother and sister-in-law, J.C. Glover Jr., and Eva Glover;
Brother-in-law, Roger Sayne;
Nieces, Stacy and Sarah;
The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Tellico Plains. A memorial service followed at 3 p.m. in the Biereley-Hale Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jon Faraone officiating. Interment followed in Rural Vale Cemetery. Military honors were provided by V.F.W. Post 5156, D.A.V. Chapter 93, and American Legion Post 106.
