Vernon Cawlishaw, age 69, of Madisonville, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away at 5:21 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at his home.
He was a committed member of First Baptist Church of Madisonville, and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from UPS, Chattanooga, for 40-plus years.
Vernon was a “mechanical genius,” who could do and fix anything. He was also a great “giver” of his time and talents for many things. Most of all, he considered himself very blessed, including being saved. He knew Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and wanted others to know about salvation too.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 49 years, Bonnie Cawlishaw;
Several other family and friends.
A special “thank you” to Rev. Chris Moore, Dr. Lon and Pat Shoopman, Dana and Eunice Robinson, and the Green brothers.
