Kenneth Earl Belcher, age 90, of Madisonville, surrounded by his family, passed on to his heavenly home at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

He retired from Hiwassee Furniture Company with more than 30 years of service. He was a 55-year member and past master of Tellico Masonic Lodge #80, and a former captain of the Monroe County Rescue Squad.

He loved his Lord, family, bluegrass and gospel music, and playing the mandolin with his many musician friends.

Preceded in death by: his wife of 51 years, Mildred Watson Belcher; son, Chris Belcher; parents, Harvey and Nevada Webb Belcher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and Lloyd Thomas, Gena and Stanley Watson, Armell and Estamon Dillard, Edna and Clarence Crowder, and Claude Curtis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgil and Geneva Belcher, Beecher and Faye Belcher, Reed and Viola Belcher, Ross and Louise Belcher, Emerson and Mildred Belcher, Other and Faye Belcher, and Leon Belcher.

Left to cherish his memory, survivors are: devoted friend and caregiver, Sue Bingham;

Daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Emerson Lynch;

Son, David Belcher and fiancée Maya;

Former daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Belcher;

Grandsons and spouse, Benji and Shannon Matoy, and Josh Belcher;

Great-grandchildren, Kandace and Shelby Matoy, and Rilee Belcher;

Great-great-grandson, Lucas (due in February);

Sister, Ruby Curtis;

Sister-in-law, Carolyn Belcher;

Many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family received friends on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. A Masonic service was held at 2:45 p.m., provided by Tellico Masonic Lodge #80. The funeral followed at 3 p.m. in the Biereley-Hale Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tallent officiating. Interment was at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens.
