Beulah Estelle Long, age 89, of Sweetwater, was born Oct. 23, 1929, in Livingston, Tennessee. She passed away on Sept. 25, 2019.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family and always had a sweet smile for each of them. She enjoyed working in her sewing shop making riding suits. She was a member of Gregory’s Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lonnie and Leta Bowman; husband, William H. Long; siblings, Leta Mae Boles, Janie Tabor, Domer Bowman, Tom Bowman, Denvil Bowman, and Paul Bowman.

She is survived by: her daughter, Willa Dean (Joe) Hicks, of Sweetwater;

Son, Jimmy (Donna) Long, of Crystal River, Florida;

Daughter, Wilma Jean Norfleet (Chet), of Kentucky;

Grandsons, Jimmy (Teresa) Long, of Mt. Juliet, Larry (Jenny) Long, of Gallatin, Michael (Ginger) Long, of Midtown;

Granddaughter, Trish (Jeff) Walker, of Calhoun, TN.

Great-grandsons, Lucas (Allie) Walker, of Calhoun, Peyton and Tyler Long of Midtown, Christina Long, Taylor and Jesse Long, of Tennessee.

Two great-great granddaughters, Hadley and Lakeley Walker, of Calhoun, who always made her smile and eyes sparkle when she saw them.

Two sisters, Kathleen Wyatt and Maude McCowan, and brother, Hollis Bowman, all of Crossville;

Special family friend, Sue Stallcup of Sweetwater.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, from noon to 2 p.m. with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home in Athens with Calloway Nichols and Andy Nichols officiating. Paul bearers were Lucas Walker, Jeff Walker, Jimmy Long, Larry Long, Michael Long, Peyton Long, Taylor Long and Darren Nichols. Burial was at East Sweetwater Freewill Baptist Church following the funeral service.
