Essie Lee Elrod, of Madisonville, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at Sweetwater Hospital. She enjoyed homemaking, yard sales, canning and helping others. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was 78 years old.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Ronnie Lunsford; grandson, Michael Matlock; parents, Argle and Lillie Harris Lee; eight sisters and brothers.
Survivors include: her significant other of 30 years, David Olmstead;

The family received friends on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. A memorial service followed at 7 p.m. in the Biereley-Hale Chapel with Tim Heath officiating.
