Leroy Fleming, of Sweetwater, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Sweetwater Hospital.

He was a member of the Sweetwater Church of the Nazarene, and retired from Tennessee Packaging Company. Mr. Fleming served in Austria as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He was 90 years old.

Preceded in death by: his parents, George and Venie Fleming; his wife, Nanthia Fleming; daughter, Donna Miller; brother, Carl Fleming; sister, Aline Moore.

Survivors include: his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Aaron Fleming, of Katy, Texas;

Son-in-law, James A. Miller;

Grandson, George A. Miller, both of Cleveland;

Sisters, Mildred Love, of Sweetwater, Jimmie Foster, of Goldsboro, N.C.;

Brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Sylvia Fleming, of Arlington, Va.;

Several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Kyker Funeral Homes in Sweetwater. The funeral service followed at 7 p.m. in Kyker’s Chapel, with the Rev. Clarence Hogg and the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Interment, with full military honors, was conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Beulah Chapel Church of the Nazarene cemetery.
