I hope everyone had a great Christmas; I know we did.

We do our Christmas on Christmas Eve so that Big Nelson can be with us. He has always worked on Christmas day. In the 19 years we have been together he probably has been home for two Christmases so we had to rearrange the way we do Christmas to accommodate him.

It's not a big deal. I mean, beside Santa coming on Christmas Eve, it really doesn't matter if you celebrate Christmas on December 24 or 25.

On Christmas Eve we attended a Candles, Carols and Communion service at our church, where we celebrated the true meaning of Christmas, and then we went home, had a tasty dinner and opened our gifts.

Christmas day we woke up to find the ground covered with snow. I have never before seen a true White Christmas. It was very exciting.

Little Nelson and I were home alone the whole day and we got pretty bored. We played outside a little and were going to build a snowman but Nelson lost interest in that pretty quick.

We decided to drive around and look at the snow. It was beautiful.

I like the snow just fine for about one day and as long as the roads are clear. After the first day, I'm ready for it to go away.

This has been a crazy winter already and it has only been winter for about a week. I think we have gotten more snow the past few weeks than we usually get in a whole year.

The one good thing is at least they didn't have to cancel school because the kids are already on break.

Little Nelson wants to go back to school. He has been very bored. I have been trying to find him something to do but it's hard.

He doesn't like to stay home by himself and I don't want him to. I hate to think I need to get a babysitter for a 14-year-old. It's not that I don't trust him to be home alone. It's just that he gets bored so easy. His mind is always working and he needs to be doing something all the time.

He's driving me crazy!

I have to find something for him before summer break comes or I'll have to enroll him in a boot camp for the summer.

Here I thought I was finished paying for childcare.

I told Big Nelson to take him to the farm some. Surely there's something there he can do, plus he will be outside, that's always a good thing.

Maybe I can find him something to do for the summer but first I'll have to get him through spring break.

What will I do with him? Does anybody have any ideas?
