Last Sunday we held a Christmas program at our church, Sweetwater First Assembly. It was a great service.

Last week I told you Little Nelson was going to play "O Holy Night" on his guitar and he did a fabulous job.

He was so nervous. He asked me if I could hear his hands shaking on the strings while he was playing. He said he could hear them.

He made one mistake but he kept going. One lady from the audience said they would never have known he made the mistake but he made a nasty face when he did it.

Big Nelson told him he stuck his tongue out while he played and to be sure not to do that. Little Nelson told him that was how he concentrated.

The whole thing went off without a hitch and it was beautiful.

Wendy Owens sang my new favorite Christmas song, "Breath of Heaven." If you have not heard this song, look it up on Youtub. It is beautiful and Wendy did a wonderful job with it.

Allison Uhler and Jessica Morgan also did an awesome job.

I know I have said it before and I'm saying it again, we are blessed with some very talented people at The First Assembly. In my opinion, our worship team is one of the best around and I am very proud of them. I would love to have a CD of their songs so I can listen to them any time I want to.

Our Pastor, Andrew Templeton, is a wonderful Pastor. He brings the sermon out in a way that even Little Nelson understands and learns from it. That takes talent.

In case you don't know, the Bible is not an easy book to read and understand for us normal people, especially if you're 13-years-old.

Pastor Andrew and his lovely wife Rachel work very hard at the church and it is growing. I don't know how people live without having that fellowship you can only get from your church family. I know that I can call on anyone at my church and they will be there to help me with whatever I need even if all I need is just a friendly voice and a little prayer. They are there for me.

I have been attending the First Assembly for a little over two years now and I have grown so much it amazes me. I feel much more confident in who I am as a Christian.

If you don't attend a church, I encourage you to come to the Sweetwater First Assembly. We are located just past Ingles on Highway 11. Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. and worship starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Youth service starts at 6:30 p.m. and adult service starts at 7 p.m. I hope to see you there!
