Ethel Gardner Kilby (Oct. 30, 2009) Ethel Gardner Kilby of Tellico Plains, passed away early Friday morning, Oct. 30, at her residence. She was born April 22, 1920 to the late Edgar and Rebecca Spurling Gardner and she was the wife of the late William Junior Kilby. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. She was 89. Preceded in death by: husband; and parents; siblings, Enos, Edna, Betty Jo, Frank and Arnold Gardner; son-in-law, Ken Williamson; and granddaughter, Karen Williamson. Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law-Wanda Williamson of Turtletown; and Jean and Frank Crisp of Tellico Plains; Sons and daughters-in-law-Bill E. and Jean Kilby of Crossville; and Jerald and Margaret Kilby of Tellico Plains; Sisters and brother-in-law-Marie Cain of Tellico Plains; and Juanita and Emmett Ferry Jr. of Madisonville; Brothers-Herbert Gardner of Tellico Plains; L.C. Gardner of Lebanon; and Floyd Gardner of Madisonville; Ten grandchildren and spouses-Keith and Dana Kilby, Denise Hyde, Diana and Jimmy Richesin, Darlene and Tim Lamm, Donna and Travis Murphy, Jerald J. and Annie Kilby, Gail and Danny Brown, Bryan and Kimberly Williamson, Cynthia and Trig Parris and Caryn Crisp; Thirteen great-grandchildren; One great-great-grandchild; Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Vernon Webb officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Rural Vale Cemetery at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, for the committal service.
