A Madisonville woman was killed Saturday night when her SUV flipped several times on Rocky Springs Road.

Monroe County Sheriff Bill Bivens said Katherine Curtis, 40, Stonewood Drive, was killed around 11:30 p.m. when her vehicle left the road and flipped. Reports said Curtis was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over.

Bivens said exactly what caused the accident is unknown, though a wet road could have been a factor. Officers looked for signs that another car may have run Curtis off the road, but Bivens said none were found.
