• On June 5, Sweetwater Police Officer Kevin Watson charged Jacklyn Farrar, 20, Meadow Lane, with aggravated assault and theft of a motor vehicle. The suspect's mother, Paulette Farrar, told police her daughter had stabbed her. The alleged victim was bleeding from both arms. Paulette Farrar said said the daughter grabbed her from behind and held a knife to her and demanded money. The mother said her daughter grabbed her car keys and $12 in cash. The mother's car, a 2001 Pontiac, was later found by Etowah Police. The mother was taken to Sweetwater Hospital for treatment.

•  On June 7, Deputy Brian Turpin charged Timothy Burton Isbill, 28, Mahala Road, Sweetwater, with causing accident damage to a vehicle and failure to stop and render aid. Turpin responded to a hit and run call on Highway 68 near Rose Drilling. The alleged victim said the suspect passed and bumped his car. A witness reported the hit and run  and the suspect was later stopped by Madisonville Police.
