A Madisonville woman was arrested Tuesday on drug charges after she was spotted not wearing a seatbelt.

Monroe County Sheriff's Drug Officer Conway Mason said he saw Teddi Hicks, 40, Ogle Road, driving on Spring Road without a seatbelt on and pulled her over for the violation.
While talking with Hicks, she admitted to Mason that she didn't have a driver's license. Mason then asked if he could search the truck.

While doing this, Mason said he found several hypodermic needles and a spoon in the car. He asked Hicks if she had anything illegal in the car and Hicks replied there was a bottle under a blanket on the other side of the truck.

Mason found the bottle and said it appeared to contain Coleman fuel, lithium, ammonia nitrate and other items that were consistent with the "one pot method" of making methamphetamine.
Hicks was arrested and charged with initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license.
