On the heels of a series win over LSU, the Missouri baseball team (25-12-1, 7-7-1 Southeastern Conference) is ranked No. 21 in the nation, according to the D1Baseball Top 25 released Monday.

Missouri is 1 of 9 SEC teams to appear in the rankings. No. 3 Mississippi State leads the heralded pack.

The Tigers' next matchup comes at Missouri State, with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Springfield.

Columbia College softball takes pair of AMC weekly awards

Freshman catcher Mackenzie Kasarda was named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week, while sophomore Lexi Dickerson was awarded the AMC Pitcher of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.

Kasarda hit 9-for-16 (.563) in Columbia's four games last week, while Dickerson pitched 12 scoreless innings over two starts, allowing just two hits.

The Cougars return to the diamond for a doubleheader against the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, with first pitch set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Antimi Softball Complex.
