•Bradley J. Allen, 27, Old Slag, Vonore, was arrested on May 31 and charged with simple possession of a Schedule VI narcotic (marijuana). Vonore Police Officer John Michael Priest responded to Allen’s apartment regarding a disturbance. When Allen opened the door, Priest could smell marijuana coming from the apartment. Priest reported that he asked Allen if there were drugs in the apartment and Allen said there were. Priest asked Allen to bring him the drugs and Allen brought Priest several small marijuana cigarettes, a box and a bag of green leafy material that Allen said was marijuana.

•Jeffery Allan Shrewsbury, 38, County Road 351, Sweetwater, was arrested on May 26 and charged with public intoxication. Vonore Police Officer Eric Watson was dispatched to Highway 411 in reference to a reckless driver. He made contact with the vehicle on Highway 411 at Carey Street. Watson reported that Shrewsbury, who was in the vehicle, smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and had red, glassy and bloodshot eyes.
