The Vonore Board of Mayor and Aldermen met as the town’s
Beer Board on Tuesday and voted to issue a new beer permit to the owners of
Rarity Bay Market. Perry Markets Inc., owned by Aziz Kherani and Anwarhusain
Kheranl, applied for a beer permit in the company’s name. The permit had been
under the name of the person who was leasing the business from Perry Markets
Inc. Note: While there were not enough board members to hold the Mayor and
Aldermen meeting that night, there were enough to hold the Beer Board meeting.
The Beer Board must have a majority of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen present.
Mayor Fred Tallent, Alderman James “Hamp” Brown and Greg Green were present,
which accounts for three of the five board members.
