• A 10-year-old Vonore boy lost most if not all of his front teeth on June 12 after he got hit in the mouth with a line drive at the ballpark in town. Vonore Police Officer Dean Norton said while on routine patrol, he saw a vehicle speed past him and then stop abruptly in the middle of the road. A man got out and flagged Norton down. When Norton got to the vehicle, he saw a 10-year-old boy with substantial damage to his mouth. Norton called for an ambulance, which arrived on the scene quickly and took the boy to Children’s Hospital.
