Salt and Light Dance Studios in Sweetwater offers a Broadway-style adult tap class on Monday evenings.  Beginners and experienced tappers alike are welcome and will enjoy the blend of technique work and new, original choreography. The technique work focuses on classic and Broadway-style tap.

 Choreography is varied. Recent numbers were danced to music from the Broadway musical “Wicked,” Christmas music, and a popular song by Michael Buble. A new number “under construction” will be a Latin style rhythm piece. Performance opportunities include Salt and Light Studios performances and community events.

Christana Tucker is the instructor for Broadway tap. She has danced most of her life, getting hooked on ballet and tap at the age of two. She has participated in several dance companies and her range of dance now includes ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop, classic jazz, lyrical, and many styles of ballroom dance. Tucker loves dance, and enjoys working with and teaching all age groups.
