•Betty Ann Sanders, 49, 7102 Diamond Branch Road, Maryville, reported approximately $2,505 in stolen items from her pontoon boat. Sanders stated she had not been on the boat since June 15, and reported the incident on June 24. Twelve fishing poles, four fully loaded tackle boxes, one dip net, one boat paddle, one temperature gauge, four life vests, three floating lights, and two black lights were stolen on the boat, located on docks C and E in slot number six. No suspect has been apprehended, and the case has been handed over to Capt. Detective Earl Long and Sgt. Detective Shane Carr of VPD.
•On June 20, Michael Shubert, 29, and wife Amber Shubert, 28 were arrested for theft of four Soloray brand cell phone chargers and ear pieces, each valued at $9.99. The incident occurred at Rocky Top Shell. The store manager, Bambi Richmond, provided a copy of the video surveillance recording, and stated the two were removing the items from containers and placed them in their clothing.
