The methamphetamine business appeared to slow down after Monroe County law enforcement agencies held a "round up" of drug suspects in October, but a month later the Sheriff's Office may see things picking up again.
Deputy Ben Baker said he and other officers executed a search warrant at a Shadden Road home Monday and discovered a black case containing 9 grams of pseudoephedrine and 4 grams of methamphetamine.
They also found hydrocodone and clonazepam in a purse. After finishing the search, Annette Houser Davis, 39, and Randy Davis, 49, both of Shadden Road, were placed under arrest. Houser Davis is charged with promoting the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for resale, possession of a Schedule III narcotic and possession of a Schedule IV narcotic for resale.
Davis is charged with promoting the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for resale and possession of a Schedule IV narcotic for resale. Davis was also charged with possession of a Schedule VI narcotic, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after marijuana and a loaded 9 mm handgun were found in his possession.
Also on Monday, Monroe County Sheriff's Narcotic Officer Conway Mason said two people were arrested on marijuana charges after officers served a search warrant at a Atkins Road home and found the drug in the bedroom. David Cardin and Rena Harris are charged with possession of marijuana.
