SWEETWATER-Not everyone was thankful
Thursday night as Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Russell
spent part of it figuring out who fired shots and pulled out a knife
at a house just outside of Sweetwater.
Russell said it was around 8:15 p.m.
when he went to the Mountain View Road home and talked to Randy
Brewster, who said he had been at a redlight in Sweetwater when David
Martin and Melissa Standridge pulled up beside him.
Brewster told Russell that Martin got
out of his car and started beating on the window of his car. Brewster
said he took off toward his house and the couple followed him.
Brewster told Russell he pulled into
his driveway and as he was coming around the house he saw Martin
coming toward him, aiming a red laser light at him. Brewster said he
heard a gunshot and ran into the house. See full story in the Sunday, Nov. 25, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
