TELLICO PLAINS -The Tellico Lady Bears took on the Greenback Lady Cherokees Friday night in hope of getting back on the winning track. The Lady Bears took care of business Friday night by defeating the Lady Cherokees by a final score of 53-39.

In the first quarter both teams would go back and forth and keep the score close  At the end of the first quarter Greenback would lead the Lady Bears by a slim margin 11-8. The Lady Cherokees would go on a 6-0 run to up the lead to 21-15. The Lady Bears would stop the run and go on a 9-0 scroring spree of their own and take 24-21 lead.

The Lady Bears would take the lead into halfime 26-23. In the 3rd qtr the Lady Bears would start to pull away. Tellico led by 7, 35-28 heading into the fourth. In the final quarter, the Lady Bears would stretch their lead to eighteen at one point and would eventually seal the deal and take the victory by a final score of 53-39.

 Leading the way for the Lady Bears would be Jasmine Harris with 26 points. Harris kocked down 10- 12 from the free throw line. Brayden Garren and Valerie Cheek had 7 points each for the Lady Bears. Leading the way for the Lady Cherokees would be Autumn Tipton with 15 points.
With the victory the Lady Bears improve to 7-6.
