MADISONVILLE-He was told to slow down,
but he stopped, then he went on, then he was arrested.
Madisonville Police Detective Daniel
Dockery said it was just before 8 p.m. Saturday when he was nearly
struck by a car while attempting to cross the road. Dockery said he
made a hand motion for the driver to slow down, but the driver came
to a complete stop.
Dockery said the driver rolled down his
window, gave him a look of confusion, then drove on. Dockery said he
saw the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and he got into his own
car to follow.
The officer followed the car down
Monroe Street and onto Veal Heights where the driver almost drove
into a ditch. See full story in the Wednesday, Feb. 27, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
