The Boys & Girls Club of the Monroe Area invites you to join in the fun and excitement of their annual celebration and benefit auction at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at the Tellico West Conference Center in Vonore.

For the past 13 years, this has been the premier social event of the county, providing hundreds of guests with an evening of good food, lively fun and unique shopping opportunities--all going for a great cause. This year's benefit promises to top them all as the community comes together to help the Boys & Girls Club help our community's youth.

What might you find to entice you? The Fashion Section offers one-of-a-kind exquisitely designed ladies' jewelry, as well as a Patricia Nash designer-original Italian leather shoulder bag. For lovers of art and music, the Entertainment Section features tickets to outstanding venues such as the Atlanta Ballet for a performance of the time-honored Nutcracker; the Atlanta Opera to experience the drama of Puccini's Tosca; as well as tickets to the Knoxville Symphony, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Museum of Art, and the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. And, while in Asheville, take an historic tour of the City provided by Asheville's Gray Line Tours.

Of course, you will find get-away opportunities to luxury condos located on Hatteras Island, coastal Florida and even some tucked away in the majestic mountains of east Tennessee. There will be lots of familiar standards such as the traditional Walt Disney World family package, tickets to Dollywood, King's Island, Six Flags, the Chattanooga Zoo and Ripley's Aquarium, just to highlight a few.

Recently added additions will include the fabulously decorated "Mystery Boxes" which guarantee to surprise and delight; the first-time "Grub Grab" which gives you a chance to select certificates to your favorite restaurants, and the Wishing Tree which will give you the chance to fulfill the wish of a deserving child.

You also won't want to miss the highlight of the evening as the prestigious Blue Door Award of Excellence is presented this year to three carefully chosen recipients for their outstanding contributions to the Boys & Girls Club in the 2012-2013 award year.

The atmosphere will be one of joyful celebration as the Boys & Girls Club emphasizes the goal of "soaring to new heights." With the energy and support of the community, the current generation of youngsters in Monroe County will be able to reach beyond their highest expectations. Where else can you enjoy a great evening out with friends and have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping hundreds of deserving children at the same time.

For tickets or for more information, please call 423-442-6770 or visit the website at www.BGCMonroeArea.org. The Boys & Girls Club of the Monroe Area is a 501 (c) (3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. All profits from this event will be used directly to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Monroe Area and the hundreds of children and families it serves annually.
