One of seven people involved in a record crack cocaine
bust last fall has received an eight-year jail sentence.
Jeff Jackson, 25, Moss Road, Philadelphia, was arrested
last November with six other people after Sweetwater
Police and the Monroe County Drug Task Force raided the
home of Jermaine Blair on Fair Street.

Blair was described as probably being the biggest drug
dealer in Monroe County history. Jackson was one of six
people who happened to be at the house when the raid
occurred.

Jackson, who pleaded to possession of cocaine for resale,
has been in jail since he was arrested last November, and
will receive credit for that time served, but he will have to
serve at least 30 percent of his sentence in a state prison
before he is eligible for release. He was also fined $2,000
in Monroe County Criminal Court this week.

One other person arrested in the raid, Shauntay Marie
Oggs, Sweetwater, earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to
sell cocaine and received a two year suspended sentence.
