One person was killed and two more reportedly injured in a single vehicle wreck last week in Monroe County.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Subaru Loi was traveling south on Miller Road at about 9:42 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, when it apparently lost control, overcorrected and hit a fence.

That led to the vehicle heading down an embankment and rolling into a creek.

The driver, a 36-year-old Maryville resident, was reported to have been ejected from the vehicle and killed. He was reported as not wearing his seatbelt.

There were two passengers in the vehicle — a 45-year-old Madisonville resident and a 46-year-old Vonore resident — and both were injured. Both were reportedly wearing their seatbelts.
