The Advocate & Democrat runs most community calendar and church calendar items free of charge. Deadline for submissions is noon on Friday. Celebrate Recovery-Watts Bar Church

The Celebrate Recovery Community will meet at Watts Bar Church, located at 1517 State Highway 68 W in Decatur, on Thursday, Sept. 17. A free meal will be served at 6 p.m., followed by worship and large group at 6:45 p.m. Around 7:50, attendees will break into small groups. Small groups are divided into men's and women's groups and are safe places to give and receive positive support for individual needs. Child care is provided.

TPL Board meeting

The Tellico Plains Public Library Board will meet on Friday, Sept. 18 at 8 a.m. at the library.

Free produce, bakery giveaway

The Food Pantry and Thrift Store of Tellico Plains will give away free produce and bakery items every Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the gazebo in Town Square. For more information, call Diana Murphy at 423-295-5518.

Refreshments begin at 6 p.m., followed by worship at 6:30 p.m. Small groups will start around 7:45 p.m. Small groups are divided into men's and women's groups and are safe places to give and receive positive support for individual needs. Celebrate Recovery-Sweetwater

The Sweetwater location of Celebrate Recovery Community will meet at Engleman Park, located at 1200 Monroe Street, on Monday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. for large group only. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Masks will be required. If you do not have one, one will be given to you. Social distancing measures will be in place. Please only attend if you are 100% comfortable in doing so. Those defined as high risk by the CDC are highly encouraged to stay home and watch on Facebook Live. Please refrain from shaking hands and hugging.
