Joyce Juanita (Cooper) Duncan went home to rest with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019.

Joyce was the loving wife of 55 years to the late Rev. Henry Duncan. She was born to the late Harve and Laler Cooper on Nov. 5, 1940. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, leaving a lasting legacy in her life’s testimony.

Preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Orval, Wilburn and Melvin Cooper; sister, Beatrice Dotson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ollie and Evelyne Duncan; sisters-in-law, Christine Duncan, Jean Cooper, Mary Cooper, Juanita Cooper, Virginia Cooper; and brother-in-law, Wilburn Presley.

She is survived by: her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Becky Duncan, Vonore, and Randall and Lisa Duncan, Tellico Plains;

Daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Jeff Reagan, Madisonville, and Therese and Lowell Cross, Vonore;

Grandsons and spouses, Jason and Dana Isbill, Alan and Hannah Duncan, Sean Isbill, Marcus and Courtney Bivens, Joshua and Destiny Duncan, T.J. Cooper and Megan Knight, Brent and Dylan Reagan, Lucas Cross, and Sony Duncan;

Granddaughters and spouses, Amy and Nathan Hitchcock, Katrina and Brian Kilby, Jessica and Trever Kent, Kisha and Scotty Buckner, Megan and Joshua Millsaps, Chedeline Duncan, Charity Cross, and Melody Cross;

Sixteen great-grandchildren;

Brothers and sisters-in-law, Odis and Shirley Cooper, Lawrence Cooper, Don and Emma Cooper, and Ronnie Cooper;

Several nieces and nephews;

A devoted church family of Little Toqua Baptist Church;

Her faithful friend until the end, forever pet, “baby J.”

Special thanks for all the prayers, food and every other kind gesture done for Joyce and the Duncan family. Special thanks also to all who helped with Joyce’s medical needs and care–words cannot say enough for all you have done!

A graveside service and interment was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25 at Little Toqua Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Duncan officiating.
