One man was arrested after a fatal shooting over the weekend.

On Saturday, at approximately 8:51 p.m., according to Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting with two victims on Rivendell Road in Tellico Plains.

Upon arrival, a male victim was found suffering from a single gunshot wound and a female victim was found with a single gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office detectives division responded to the scene to begin the investigation, which remained ongoing as of press time.

A male subject was located on the scene and was later identified as Daniel Holloman.

Holloman was taken into custody by Monroe County detectives and was transported to the Monroe County Justice Center.

His charges include criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide and possession of a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony.
