The Bookshelf in Tellico Plains hosted a book signing with author Monica B. Collins on Saturday, Sept. 5. Collins wrote and illustrated a true story about her cat, Sugar, who saves a baby flying squirrel. The book, entitled “Sugar Saves Roxy,” is “sure to win your heart with its brightly colorized photos of the friendly cat, the tiny squirrel and their adopted family,” according to a news release about the signing. “With its lovely happy ending, you will want to read this story over and over to your children and share it with your animal-loving friends.” Copies of the book are available at The Bookshelf.
