Graduates of Tennessee Boys and Girls State Program

The Boys and Girls State program is a one-week program promoted by the American Legion designed to expose leadership opportunities and citizenship-training to young students in Tennessee. To attend this year’s program, these high school students were interviewed, selected and sponsored by local American Legion Post 256. This year’s local graduates recently attended the Post 256 general meeting and gave their testimonials, and experiences. They are pictured, from left, with Post 256 Commander Steve Buelow: Folsom Silver, Greenback High School; Edyn Cecil, Sequoyah High School; and Benjamin Murphy, Sequoyah High School.
