Hubert Lawson White, age 83, of Vonore, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at his home while surrounded by his family and friends. His death was from complications after surgery.
He was the best husband, dad, popee and friend anyone could ever have. He could do anything and everything for anyone. He loved his family with all his heart.
He was a member of Hopewell Springs Baptist Church, Vonore Masonic Lodge #658, and was employed with Associated Electric, Knoxville, for 46 years as an electrician.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Eulis and Lora Millsaps White; his brother, Gerald White; and his brother-in-law, Ralph Warlick.
He leaves behind: his wife of 53 years, Joyce Rogers White;
Children, Kim (Tommy) White, Kendall (Leann) White, and Kristy Matthews and Jason Schilling;
Grandchildren, Chelsi (Eric) Fugate, Wil (Aaren) Frye, Wes Frye, Jacob (Haley) White, Brooks White, Brady White, Brigham White, Kolby James Lawson Matthews, and Kylea Matthews;
Sisters, June Warlick, and Gwen (Raymond) Collins;
Brothers, Jessie White, Keith White, and Tony White;
Several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, from noon until 2 p.m. at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. A graveside service and interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Hopewell Springs Cemetery with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army, Sweetwater VFW 5156, DAV Chapter 93 and American Legion Post 106.
