Penny Gay Phillips, age 60, of Hokesbluff, Alabama, formerly of Madisonville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Young’s Chapel Church in Hokesbluff.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ben and Dawn Carroll; her brother, Benji Carroll; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Janie Jenkins.

Survivors include: her husband of 44 years, Larry Phillips;

Children and spouses, Brian and Brandi Phillips, of Madisonville, Daniel and Aundie Phillips, of Tellico Plains, Charles and Selina Phillips, of Madisonville, and Amanda Phillips, of Athens; Grandchildren, Alex and Baylei, Cameron, Jasmine, Lily, Aaron, Seth, Turrah, Haylei, Shannon, Danielle, Hayden and Jayden;

Seven great-grandchildren;

Sisters, Wendy Carroll, and Kay Carroll;

Brothers, Mark Carroll, and Tim Carroll and wife Sandy, all of Gadsden, Alabama;

A multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

The family received friends on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. Graveside service and interment was on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at 2 p.m. in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Stacy Chambers officiating.
