Sixteen points from both Jaden Hollinghead and Chloe Ratledge led Tellico Plains to steamroll to a fifth straight district championship appearance behind a 69-29 District 4-A semifinal win over Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences at home on Saturday.

The Lady Bears’ (29-0) best scoring quarter came in the second when they knocked down 23 points — led by eight from Maggie Hooper and seven each from Hollinghead and Ratledge.

The Lady Bears started out with a 15-3 lead in the opening quarter. Kori Hamilton hit a 3-pointer with baskets from Hollinghead, Ratledge and Joell Stinnett.

The Lady Bears led 38-13 at the break, but Tellico Plains kept their foot on the pedal with 16-5 and 15-8 third and fourth quarters.

Hooper finished with 12 points, followed by nine from Hamilton and four from Stinnett. Tamyra Dicando and Haley Cooper both finished with three points while Emma Moore, Karsen Hunt and Hannah Dalton wrapped up the scoring with two points each.

The Lady Bears advance to the District 4-A Championship against three seed Copper Basin at Tellico Plains on Tuesday.
